About reece
Reece has rare day-to-day life experience in taking care of and developing independence, self-esteem, self-love, self-worth and self-acceptance in his older brother who is neurodivergent. As a result, his older brother doesn’t feel labelled by his diagnosis and has full awareness of his autism, behaviours, strengths, and weaknesses and has a purpose in his music performing at home, for kids at daycare and throughout lower British Columbia living a fulfilling life.
He has shared with Reece and others who are like himself how he feels about his diagnosis:
“It’s a true superpower”. “It makes me see the world differently and once I felt empowered through accomplishing my goals with my Bashbrother connection with Reece and his LIFE STRATEGIES I started to feel like my diagnosis was no longer a problem or that I had to be fixed. It's a contributor to what makes me Luc but it doesn't define me today! I am proud of the man I am when I look at myself in the mirror each morning and continue to look forward to learning from my Bashbrother Reece”
Through that experience and 15 years of working for multiple companies as a support worker, his business Life Quality Supports and volunteering for Special Olympics British Columbia Reece can connect and develop those same skills in men, women, teens and kids who have the same diagnosis and or desires to accomplish their hope, dreams, and goals, find a new way to live and develop the 4 levels of self (Self-love, worth, esteem and acceptance).
Reece prides himself on living a healthy lifestyle physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Due to his personal experiences, he doesn’t just help people with neurodiversity and mental health diagnoses, he also helps people not use drugs and alcohol by developing awareness of the root of the person's issues with themselves through his heart and LIFE STRATEGIES. Reece has over 8 years of experience interacting with people afflicted with all types of addictions and has an intimate knowledge of the cognitive, emotional and physical struggles that those with substance abuse go through on a day-to-day basis, which allows him to communicate with them on a more personal and intuitive level. In doing so he helps develop short-term and long-term goals that create self-love, self-esteem, self-worth and self-acceptance in the process.
Love, Independence, Fulfillment and Empowerment.
Reece’s approach to helping people with neurodiversity, mental health and addictions reach their full potential is simple:
“LOVE, INDEPENDENCE, FULFILLMENT, EMPOWERMENT”
This is the base foundation for his supports. Through his heart and energy, he develops a connection with the individual, which turns to trust in one another. Through that trusting bond, he uses that bond to “Enter the person's world through their lenses”. This helps with what LIFE STRATEGIES and LIFE SOLUTIONS to use in creating independence and a step-by-step plan for each goal.
As the hopes, dreams and goals get accomplished the person feels fulfillment inside and out. Thus feeling empowered to further develop and use the skills they have learned to be the best version of themselves and show others how they can do the same and not let their diagnosis, mental, emotional and physical limitations get in the way of their hopes, dreams, goals and how they look at themselves internally and externally each day.
Reece’s interests include fitness training, being outdoors, swimming, meditation, journaling, yoga, going to the movies and always focusing on making an impact wherever he goes with the people he loves personally and supports professionally. He also enjoys connecting with strangers who come in his path throughout any given day. He never likes comfort zones, enjoys a good challenge and always strives to be a better version of himself than he was yesterday! He lives to serve and spread the love he has for life and others affecting as many people as he can and being a productive member of society.
